The list of teams through to the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup semi-finals has now been confirmed following the conclusion of the quarter-final stage.
Herentals, Scottland and FC Platinum joined Hunters in the last four following their victories on Sunday.
At Chahwanda Stadium, Herentals beat Hardrock 6-5 on penalties after the match had ended 1-1.
Ralph Kawondera scored for the Students as they opened the scoring in the 11th minute.
Washington Navaya restored parity for the hosts, Hardrock, in the 36th minute.
At Luveve Stadium, FC Platinum beat Blanket Mine FC 3-0, with Emmanuel Dogbey scoring a second-half brace to add to Junior Selemani’s first-half penalty.
At Rufaro Stadium, Scottland played out a goalless draw against Bulawayo Chiefs before winning the penalty shootout 5-4.
However, Scottland’s place in the semi-finals remains subject to the outcome of disciplinary proceedings over the alleged use of an ineligible player.
Scottland were charged by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for allegedly fielding Witbeen Stoffel in their Chibuku Super Cup Round of 16 match against FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium on 14 August.
The matter has raised doubts over Scottland’s participation in the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup as they now face the possibility of disqualification.
